3. The New Protocol Design

TL;DR Cashio revival project will accept stable pair LPs as collateral to mint the base pair stable coin (OURO) which can be used for farming rewards on Quarry as usual - but the only way to access governance power over the permalocked SBR/SUNNY in the vault is to purchase the Treasury Token (BOROS) using the stable coin itself in a POM that redirects liquidity to a guaranteed floor price.

  1. Stablecoin: Ouro/ Treasury Token: Boros
  2. Ouroboros represents the infinity of time flowing back unto itself, in a never-ending cycle, as if caught in an eternal loop. Ouroboros first appeared in Egypt, in 13th century BC.
     1. Throughout the ages, Ouroboros has been interpreted and used in a variety of ways by a plethora of cultures. One of the most common interpretations is that the symbol represents the interconnectedness and infinity of the Universe.
     2. We could adopt it as our protocol name since it represents the interconnectedness of the emerging open financial system & the nearly infinite potential for value creation in DeFi - as depicted by how we can create value to return to Cashio Exploit victims.
  3. Already multiple coin designs to take inspiration from for Ouro and Boros, and could lend itself to a simple but fitting UI aesthetic that could be 🤌 and very different from the colorful, meme-filled Cashio aesthetic.

• Cashio will partner with Saber to revive the project under a DAO which will be operated primarily by Cashio victims - who will be given a large portion of value in the form of call options on the floor price of the Treasury Token. This DAO will issue a new stable coin (OURO) which Saber will support as a decentralized neutral base pair.
